Ian Thompson

Project Manager

Ian Thompson has lived and worked overseas and has a keen interest in people, culture and history. He speaks several languages to varying degrees and has especial interest in South Asia and Scandinavia.  His family has for many years supported overseas students studying here in Australia. He considers that he has “family” in India, Denmark and the United Arab Emirates.

Ian has helped refugee families settle into a new life here in Australia. Most recently he has been working with aboriginal communities in the Wheatbelt region of WA and African Communities in Perth.

Ian’s background is in human rights, mental health, management and learning and development. He has been nationally engaged supporting communities and individuals navigate the National Disability Insurance Scheme and runs innovative Virtual reality programs for people living with Dementia.
