Historic Rights-Based Aged Care Reforms Announced!

The Government is delivering transformative reforms to aged care, ensuring quality and viability for the future. By 2035, around 1.4 million older Australians will benefit from a new Support at Home program, helping them maintain independence in their homes and communities.

Key highlights:

  • $5.6 billion investment in aged care, the largest in 30 years.
  • $4.3 billion for Support at Home, starting 1 July 2025.
  • Improved funding and quality for residential aged care.
  • Stronger laws to protect older Australians, with tougher penalties for breaches.
