Multicultural Aged Care (MAC), PICAC SA leads South Australia’s efforts in embedding cultural inclusion within aged care. We deliver leadership, training, and resources across metropolitan and regional South Australia to enable providers to deliver culturally responsive and appropriate care for older people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

Provider Support & Engagement

PICAC SA supports aged care providers through information delivery, tailored consultation, and sector-wide events. Our services are delivered across both metro and regional areas to build sector capacity and enhance inclusive practice:

Our role as Secretariat

As the Secretariat of the national PICAC Alliance, PICAC SA:

  • Facilitates strategic planning and regular Alliance meetings.
  • Coordinates co-developed resources, submissions, and policy responses.
  • Upholds CALD representation in national aged care reform discussions (e.g. as part of NACA).
  • Connects stakeholders across states and territories to amplify consistent, culturally inclusive practice.
